Just a note about my Social Responsive Music origins...
My professional life began as a performing musician. In music - and in life - great communication requires great listening. As an experienced musician, I started to give clinics and workshops and realized that no one seemed to be teaching communication and mindfulness to the musicians I encountered.
I began teaching the skills of awareness, selflessness and conversation to musicians. Then I realized how these are beneficial to everyone and I could reach people by using percussion as a medium.
The goal is the journey, where everyone listens, cooperates, experiments, and makes contributions that are all respected as having equal value.
That is Social Responsive Music.
